- CHECK OPERATION OF REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU Turn the power switch OFF. Exchange the rear active stabilizer control ECU with the front active stabilizer control ECU. Connect Techstream to the DLC3. Turn the power switch ON (IG) and press the Techstream main switch ON. Clear the DTC. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-386966-S21674868462011022400000) . Check for DTC. RESULT Result Proceed to DTC is not output A DTC C1930, C1931, C1932, C1933, C1936, C1937, C1938 or C193A is output B A --> CHECK INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS B --> REPLACE REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU

- CHECK SURROUNDING CONDITIONS (AMBIENT TEMPERATURE) Confirm the temperature around the front active stabilizer control ECU. HINT: If there are factors causing a high temperature in the front active stabilizer control ECU, eliminate those factors, wait for the ECU to cool down, and recheck for the DTC. RESULT Result Proceed to Factors causing high temperatures A No factors causing high temperatures B A --> ELIMINATE FACTORS CAUSING HIGH TEMPERATURES B: Go to next step
- CHECK OPERATION OF FRONT ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU Turn the power switch OFF. Exchange the rear active stabilizer control ECU with the front active stabilizer ECU. - INSPECT SURROUNDING CONDITIONS (AMBIENT TEMPERATURE) Check the ambient temperature of the active stabilizer converter. OK No factors causing high temperatures HINT: If there are any factors causing high temperatures, excluding parts of the active stabilizer, eliminate them. After eliminating them, allow the active stabilizer to cool down and recheck for a DTC. NG --> ELIMINATE FACTORS CAUSING HIGH TEMPERATURES OK: Go to next step
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU - ACTIVE STABILIZER CONVERTER) Disconnect the y1 rear active stabilizer control ECU connector. Disconnect the y4 active stabilizer converter connector. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors. Standard resistance Tester Connection Specified Condition y1-11 (MRL) - y4-8 (BT-) Below 1 ohms y1-11 (MRL) or y4-8 (BT-) - Body ground 10 kohms or higher y1-10 (DDON) - y4-7 (DDON) Below 1 ohms y1-10 (DDON) or y4-7 (DDON) - Body ground 10 kohms or higher y1-7 (BT+) - y4-5 (BT+) Below 1 ohms y1-7 (BT+) or y4-5 (BT+) - Body ground 10 kohms or higher NG --> REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR OK: Go to next step
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ACTIVE STABILIZER CONVERTER - BATTERY) Disconnect the y3 active stabilizer converter connector. Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector. Standard voltage Tester Connection Specified Condition y3-2 (DDLI) - Body ground 10 to 14 V y3-1 (DDPB) - Body ground 10 to 14 V NG --> REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT BATTERY (for Active Stabilizer) Wait 10 minutes after stopping the engine. Inspect the voltage of the battery terminals. Standard voltage 12.4 V or higher HINT: If the result is not as specified, charge the battery, wait 10 minutes or more and inspect the voltage of the battery terminals again. NOTE: The terminals of the battery must be connected correctly when replacing the battery. If the battery terminals are connected incorrectly (positive and negative terminals connected in reverse), replace the active stabilizer converter and STB DC/DC fuse with new ones. NG --> REPLACE BATTERY (for Active Stabilizer) OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT FUSE (STB FR) Remove the STB FR H-fuse from the luggage room No. 6 relay block. Measure the resistance of the H-fuse. Standard resistance Below 1 ohms HINT: When a fuse burns out during installation, there may be a power source-related short. NG --> REPLACE FUSE OK: Go to next step
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (RELAY BLOCK - BATTERY) Remove the front active stabilizer relay from the luggage room No. 6 relay block. Measure the voltage of the relay block. Standard voltage Tester Connection Specified Condition Relay block front active stabilizer relay terminal 3 - Body ground 10 to 14 V NG --> REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT FRONT ACTIVE STABILIZER RELAY (Marking: STB FR) Remove the front active stabilizer relay from the luggage room No. 6 relay block. Measure the resistance of the relay. Standard resistance Tester Connection Specified Condition 3 - 5 10 kohms or higher 3 - 5 Below 1 ohms (when battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2) NG --> REPLACE FRONT ACTIVE STABILIZER RELAY OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER RELAY (Marking: STB RR) Remove the rear active stabilizer relay from the luggage room No. 6 relay block. Measure the resistance of the relay. Standard resistance Tester Connection Specified Condition 3 - 5 10 kohms or higher 3 - 5 Below 1 ohms (when battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2) NG --> REPLACE REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER RELAY OK: Go to next step
- CHECK ACTIVE STABILIZER RELAY CIRCUIT Remove the front and rear active stabilizer relays from the luggage room No. 6 relay block. Measure the resistance of the relay block. Remove the front active stabilizer relay from the luggage room No. 6 relay block. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors. While in fail-safe mode, perform the driving test and check if the noise recurs from the same areas of the vehicle. - CONFIRM PHENOMENON (STABILIZER LINK) Disconnect the rear active stabilizer control ECU connector and put the vehicle in fail-safe mode. Remove one side of the stabilizer link. For the front side, refer to the following procedures. Refer to «REMOVAL - Step 3»(ref-386957-S25248167712011022400000) . For the rear side, refer to the following procedures. Refer to «REMOVAL - Step 3»(ref-386957-S00001560762011022400000) . HINT: One side of the stabilizer link is removed to reduce strain on the link when it experiences a shock or impact on the road. With one side of the stabilizer link removed, perform the driving test and check if the noise recurs from the same areas of the vehicle. NOTE: The driving test must be performed in fail-safe mode. If the test is conducted in the normal mode, the stabilizer bar will move and damage nearby parts.
