REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

| CAUTION | When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery. |
Removal
- Remove the wiper arms, weatherstrip and cowl louver. (Scheme 7)
- Remove the wiper link assembly by disconnecting the connector and removing the 5 bolts.
- Remove the wiper motor by removing 2 screws and removing the wiper motor from the wiper link.

Installation
- Install the wiper motor with the 2 screw to the wiper link.
- Install the wiper link assembly with the 5 bolts to the body. Toque the bolts to 48 In. lbs. (5.4 N.m). Connect the connector.
- Install the cowl louver and weatherstrip.
- Install the wiper arms and tighten the nuts by hand. Operate the wipers once and turn the wiper switch OFF. Adjust the installation positions of the wiper arms to the positions. (Scheme 8) A - Approximately 1.142 in. (29 mm) B - Approximately 1.516 in. (38.5 mm) C - Approximately 0.984 in. (25 mm) D - Approximately 0.669 in. (17 mm) Tighten the 2 nuts to 16 ft. lbs. (22 N.m).
