DESCRIPTION & OPERATION

CAUTIONWhen battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.

With the ignition switch turned on, the current flows to terminal No. 17 of the front wiper and washer switch, and terminal No. 2 of the front wiper motor through the WIPER fuse (25-amp), terminal No. 2 of the washer motor through the WASHER fuse (20-amp). See WIRING DIAGRAMS .

Washer Continuous Operation

With washer switch turned to on, the current flows from terminal No. 2 of the washer motor to terminal No. 1 to terminal No. 11 of the front wiper and washer switch to terminal No. 2 to GROUND and causes to the washer motor to run, and the window washer emits a water spray. This causes the current to flow to washer continuous operation circuit in terminal No. 17 of the front wiper and washer switch to terminal No. 7 to terminal No. 5 of the front wiper motor to terminal No. 4 to GROUND and operates the wiper.
