DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when a malfunction in the IG1 circuit, IG2 circuit or IG hold circuit in the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) is detected.

HINT

When the cable is disconnected and reconnected to the negative (-) battery terminal, the power source mode returns to the state it was in before the cable was disconnected.

This DTC is stored when a malfunction in the ACC output circuit is detected. The ACC output circuit is the circuit that goes from the ACC output terminal of the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) to the ACC relay.

B2283The power source mode is changed to off (the engine is stopped) by pressing the engine switch while the vehicle is being driven. With the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly in the cabin, even if an engine start operation is performed, the engine does not start.

HINT

  1. A voltage of 12 V or 5 V is output from each ECU and then input to the combination meter. The signal is changed to a pulse signal at the transistor in the combination meter. Each ECU controls the respective system based on the pulse signal.
  2. If a short occurs in an ECU, all systems in the diagram above will not operate normally.

This DTC is stored when the brake signal sent via direct line and the brake signal sent via CAN communication do not match.

With the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly in the cabin, even if an engine start operation is performed, the engine does not start (the indicator in the combination meter is not illuminated in green). However, the engine can be started by turning the engine switch on (ACC) and then pressing and holding it. If there is a malfunction when the direct line is on, the engine can be started by pressing the engine switch with the brake pedal released. If there is a malfunction when the direct line is off, the engine cannot be started by pressing the engine switch with the brake pedal depressed.

When the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly is in the cabin and the engine switch is pressed, the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) receives a signal and changes the power source mode. In addition, when the shift lever is in P or N and the brake pedal is depressed, the engine can be started by pressing the engine switch.

If any of the following operations are performed, the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) receives a signal, and changes the power source mode.

  1. With the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly in the cabin, the engine switch is pressed.
  2. When the battery of the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly is depleted, the brake pedal is depressed and the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly is held near the engine switch.
  3. When the smart access system with push-button start cancel function has been turned on the customization menu, the brake pedal is depressed and the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly is held near the engine switch.

HINT

  1. When the cable is disconnected and reconnected to the negative (-) battery terminal, the power source mode returns to the state it was in before the cable was disconnected.
  2. If the room oscillator does not recognize the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly, the cause of the malfunction may be stored in the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly). Refer to «OPERATION HISTORY LIST [06/2012 - ]»(ref-598699-S24942402392014021400000) .
