Air Bag Module (Driver Side): Overview Kia Optima II

Airbag 4 illustrations ~133 words

DESCRIPTION

Driver Airbag (DAB) is installed in steering wheel and electrically connected to SRSCM via clockspring. It protects the driver from danger by deploying a bag when frontal crash occurs. The SRSCM determines deployment of Driver Airbag (DAB).

CAUTIONNever attempt to measure the circuit resistance of the airbag module (squib) with an ohmmeter. If the circuit resistance is measured with a tester, accidental airbag deployment will result in serious personal injury.
