Generally CkPS signal is used to detect the piston's position and CMPS signal is used to detect the Top Dead Center of each cylinder.

- Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable.
- Remove the intake manifold (Refer to " «Intake And Exhaust System»(/hyundai/veloster/i-2011-2015/remont/exhaust/#intake-system-exhaust-system-non-turbo) ").
- Disconnect the injector connector (A).
- Remove the installation bolt (B), and then remove the sensor from the cylinder block.
