  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable.
  2. Disconnect the knock sensor connector (A). [Bank 1] [Bank 2]
  3. Remove the intake manifold. (Refer to «INTAKE AND EXHAUST SYSTEM»(/hyundai/santa-fe/ii-facelift-2010-2012/remont/exhaust/#intake-and-exhaust-system-g35-dohc) .)
  4. Remove the installation bolt (A), and then remove the sensor from the cylinder block. [Bank 1] [Bank 2]
