Soft Limit

Soft Limit Setting(FR HEIGHT, RR HEIGHT, CUSHION EXT, HEAD REST)

  1. SOFT LIMIT INITIALIZATION SETTING BOTH SOFT LIMIT Is not set at the first time (B+) The initial set of SOFT LIMIT is initial stop position by MANUAL operation.
  2. SOFT LIMIT renewal condition SOFT LIMIT will be renewal in case of over SOFT LIMIT position by MANUAL or PLAYBACK (However, buzzer output is not) SOFT LIMIT will be renewal to operation direction when the error is occurred during operating Of MANUAL or PLAYBACK. (However, Motor output must be keep for MANUAL but renewal for PLAYBACK) Both SOFT LIMIT will be renewal in error condition and return by only manual.
  3. SOFT LIMIT ERROR and BUZZER output Buzzer output will be 0 times when the motor error is occurred within SOFT LIMIT range. Front Height: below 6 pulses in 1sec. Rear Height: below 6 pulses in 1.5sec. Cushion Extension: below 6 pulses in 1 sec. Head Rest: below 6 pulse in 1 sec.

Scheme 61

Scheme 61: Function
  1. Behavior of Combined WALK IN SWITCH ASSIST SEAT SLIDE/RECLINE/HEADREST can be controlled by Combined WALK IN SWITCH Control by Combined WALK IN FRONT SWITCH In case of Combined WALK IN FRONT SWITCH is kept ON RPSM drives ASSIST SLIDE motor forward and ASSIST HEADREST motor down. RPSM drives ASSIST RECLINE forward when ASSIST SLIDE FRONT LIMIT ON. BUZZER output 1 time when ASSIST SLIDE FRONT LIMIT & ASSIST RECLINE FRONT LIMIT. If Combined WALK IN FRONT SWITCH is OFF-->ON in above state (3), BUZZER output 1 time. But no output ASSIST SLIDE & RECLINE motors. If Combined WALK IN FRONT SWITCH and MANUAL SWITCH are simultaneously ON, RPSM Drives for MANUAL SWITCH. RPSM stops ASSIST seats motor output immediately, when Combined WALK IN FRONT SWITCH is ON --> OFF. (Combined WALK IN SWITCH: SELF RETURN TYPE SWITCH) Behavior of Combined WALK IN FRONT SWITCH is not available when ASSIST DOOR OPEN. Control by Combined WALK IN REAR SWITCH In case of Combined WALK IN REAR SWITCH is kept ON RPSM drives ASSIST RECLINE motor backward to STD Position(400 Pulse(20°) from REAR LIMIT). RPSM drives ASSIST SLIDE motor backward to REAR LIMIT when ASSIST RECLINE is at STD position. And then BUZZER output 1time. No output for ASSIST HEADREST as Combined WALK IN REAR SWITCH. If Combined WALK IN REAR SWITCH is OFF-->ON when ASSIST RECLINE is at STD position and ASSIST SLIDE REAR LIMIT, BUZZER output 1 time. But no output ASSIST SLIDE & RECLINE motor. If Combined WALK IN REAR SWITCH and MANUAL SWITCH are simultaneously ON, RPSM drives assist seat motors for MANUAL SWITCH. RPSM stops ASSIST seats motor output immediately, when Combined WALK IN REAR SWITCH is ON --> OFF. (Combined WALK IN SWITCH: SELF RETURN TYPE SWITCH) Behavior of Combined WALK IN REAR SWITCH is not available when ASSIST DOOR OPEN.
  2. Behavior of Combined RELAX SWITCH ASSIST SEAT SLIDE/RECLINE/HEADREST & VIP SEAT SLIDE/LEG SUPPORT can be controlled by Combined RELAX SWITCH Control by Combined RELAX FRONT SWITCH In case of Combined WALK IN FRONT SWITCH is kept ON RPSM drives ASSIST SLIDE motor forward, ASSIST RECLINE forward and ASSIST HEAD REST motor down. If ASSIST RECLINE position reaches to 900 Pulse from REAR LIMIT (RECLINE angle: 90°), RPSM drives VIP SEAT SLIDE forward. RPSM drives VIP SEAT LEG SUPPORT motor up when VIP SEAT SLIDE FRONT LIMIT ON. BUZZER output 1 time when ASSIST SLIDE/RECLINE, VIP SEAT SLIDE FRONT LIMIT and VIP SEAT LEG SUPPORT UP LIMIT. If Combined RELAX FRONT SWITCH is OFF-->ON in above state (3), BUZZER output 1 time. But no output ASSIST and VIP SEAT motors. If Combined RELAX FRONT SWITCH and MANUAL SWITCH are simultaneously ON, RPSM Drives for MANUAL SWITCH. RPSM stops motor output immediately, when Combined RELAX FRONT SWITCH is ON-->OFF. (Combined RELAX FRONT SWITCH: SELF RETURN TYPE SWITCH) Behavior of Combined RELAX FRONT SWITCH is not available when ASSIST DOOR OPEN. Control by Combined RELAX REAR SWITCH In case of Combined WALK IN FRONT SWITCH is kept ON RPSM drives VIP SEAT LEG SUPPORT down and SLIDE backward. If they reach to LIMIT, RPSM drives ASSIST RECLINE backward to STD Position(400 Pulse(20°) from REAR LIMIT). RPSM drives ASSIST SLIDE motor backward to REAR LIMIT when ASSIST RECLINE is at STD position. BUZZER output 1 time when ASSIST SLIDE REAR LIMIT If Combined RELAX REAR SWITCH is OFF-->ON when ASSIST RECLINE is at STD position, ASSIST SLIDE REAR LIMIT, VIP SEAT SLIDE REAR LIMIT and LEG SUPPORT DOWN LIMIT, BUZZER output 1 time. But no output ASSIST and VIP SEAT motors. If Combined RELAX REAR SWITCH and MANUAL SWITCH are simultaneously ON, RPSM Drives for MANUAL SWITCH. RPSM stops motor output immediately, when Combined RELAX REAR SWITCH is ON-->OFF. (Combined RELAX REAR SWITCH: SELF RETURN TYPE SWITCH) Behavior of Combined RELAX REAR SWITCH is not available when ASSIST DOOR OPEN.
  3. Maximum Driving Time of ASSIST SEAT motors Slide: 20s +/- 2s Recline: 35s +/- 3s Head Rest: 10s +/- 1s
  4. Set LIMIT HARD LIMIT SW HARD LIMIT SW prevents MOTOR restriction, Electrical contacts type is NORMAL CLOSE. ASSIST SLIDE/RECLINE, VIP SEAT SLIDE/LEG SUPPORT When HARD LIMIT SW of ASSIST SLIDE/RECLINE, VIP SEAT SLIDE/LEG SUPPORT is close --> open, LIMIT is renewed when they estimate end position of machinery. SOFT LIMIT SW SOFT LIMIT is applied because it prevents MOTOR restriction. (HEADREST(Spare Seat)) SOFT LIMIT deals with HEADREST, First it moves all section so it renewed LIMIT position. Renewal conditions of LIMIT are first all section to move, LIMIT set up when HALL SENSOR don't input (1sec of 6PULSE) After LIMIT was renewed, if OUTPUT don't generate 6PULSE upward that it is ERROR condition.
  5. ERROR detection and transaction ERROR detection ERROR is detected when as follow conditions are occurred for each MOTOR operation by MANUAL SW ERROR when no pulse input Each MOTOR output stops when ERROR occurred during the MANUAL SW operation (Exclusive of SLIDE, RECLINE) In case of SENSOR VCC of SEAT detects under 2.5V for 40ms => In this case SENSOR VCC of SEAT detects over 3.5V, then reversion No buzzer output although error is occurred ERROR transaction When error detected as above, HARNESS disconnection or SENSOR fault, behavior of Error transaction is as follows. ERROR is decided when HALL SENSOR don't input during MANUAL SW operation. ERROR is recovered if MANUAL SW operates in MOTOR to occur ERROR Recovered timing is decided when troubled MOTOR is repaired, it's like as follows SEAT: In case, Normal SIGNAL [6PULSE input within 3sec(RECLINE)/1sec(HEADREST)] input from POSITION SENSOR that Controls of MANUAL SW cause MOTOR ERROR

Scheme 62: Removal
  1. Remove the negative(-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the seats in the car. (Refer to the «FRONT SEAT»(ref-417757-S01226783022011083000000) )
  3. Remove the IMS & PSM module(A) after loosening 4 screws and 4 connectors in the bottom of seat.

Manual Control With Direction Switches

  1. Tilt & Telescope operation is carried out in SCM according to user handling of direction switches when the following conditions are satisfied. Only one of direction switches is pressed ON (Tilt Up/Down, Telescope Forward/Backward).
  2. SCM is different from a value of maximum continuous time for each motor Tilt: 6s +/- 1s Telescope: 6s +/- 1s
  3. Manual has priority although self-diagnosis actuator operation order is received (actuator operation ignorance)

Soft Limit Setting By Manual Switches

  1. The basis value must be set 8000H and both direction SOFT LIMIT must be open at the first time at B+ condition
  2. The LIMIT must be renewal in all range by MANUAL operation at the first setting of LIMIT
  3. If the error is occurred during operation, after saving the ERROR DATA in EEPROM, easy access position is deleted and only SOFT LIMIT to going direction is deleted.
  4. The LIMIT must be reset in all range and in easy access (get out) after recovery form error.
  5. The SOFT LIMIT is presented ±12PULSE from mechanical limit position

Memory With Position Switches

When no manual operation is performing

  1. SCM memorizes position once if one of Mem P1 CMD or Mem P2 CMD command is changed to ON.
  1. Memory enable CAN signal Mem ENB=Enable
  2. Memory operation If CAN signal Mem P1 CMD=P1 or Mem P2 CMD=P2 is received, SCM memorize a present Tilt & Telescope position
  3. The notice about memory Memory must not be clear even though battery is removed.
