Note. Put on gloves to protect your hands. Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when prying components. Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.

Scheme 4: Special Tools Required
  1. Remove the trim in the numbered sequence.
  2. Install the trim in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: Check for damaged or stress-whitened clips, and replace them with new ones. Make sure the connector is plugged in properly. Push the clips into place securely. If the threads on the visor screws are worn out, use an oversized screw (P/N 90132-SZ3-003) made specifically for this application.

  1. Remove the trim as shown below.
  2. Install the trim in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: Check for damaged or stress-whitened clips, and replace them with new ones. Push the clips into place securely.

  1. Remove the door sill trim (see «TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - DOOR AREAS»(ref-221365-S37075338132006022400000) ).
  2. Remove the trim as shown below.
  3. Install the trim in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: Check for damaged or stress-whitened clips, and replace them with new ones. Push the clips into place securely. For removable hardtop: Make sure the rear window defogger connector is plugged in properly (left side only).

  1. Remove the trim in numbered sequence.
  2. Install the trim in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: Check for damaged or stress-whitened clips, and replace them with new ones. Apply liquid thread lock to the anchor bolts before reinstallation. Before installing the anchor bolts, make sure there are no twists or kinks in the seat belt. Push the clips into place securely.
