1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
2. Check the MAP SENSOR in the DATA LIST with the HDS. Is about 3 kPa (1.0 in.Hg, 26 mmHg), or 0.23 V or less indicated? YES: Go to step 3 . NO: Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the MAP sensor and the ECM/PCM.
3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
4. Disconnect the MAP sensor 3P connector.
5. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
6. Check the MAP SENSOR in the DATA LIST with the HDS. Is about 3 kPa (1.0 in.Hg, 26 mmHg), or 0.23 V or less indicated? YES: Go to step 12 . NO: Go to step 7 .
7. Measure the voltage between MAP sensor 3P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 3. Is there about 5 V? YES: Go to step 16 . NO: Go to step 8 .
8. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
9. Jump the SCS line with the HDS.
10. Disconnect ECM/PCM connector C (49P).
11. Check for continuity between ECM/PCM connector terminal C13 and MAP sensor 3P connector terminal No. 1. Is there continuity? YES: Go to step 23 . NO: Repair open in the wire between the ECM/PCM (C13) and the MAP sensor, then go to step 18 .
12. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
13. Jump the SCS line with the HDS.
14. Disconnect ECM/PCM connector C (49P).
15. Check for continuity between MAP sensor 3P connector terminal No. 2 and body ground. Is there continuity? YES: Repair short in the wire between the ECM/PCM (C11) and the MAP sensor, then go to step 18 . NO: Go to step 23 .
16. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
17. Replace the MAP sensor (see «MAF SENSOR/IAT SENSOR REPLACEMENT»(ref-320426-S41968704082009071400000) ).
18. Reconnect all connectors.
19. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
20. Reset the ECM/PCM with the HDS.
21. Do «ECM/PCM IDLE LEARN PROCEDURE»(ref-320447-S03803966382009071400000) .
22. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC P0107 indicated? YES: Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the MAP sensor and the ECM/PCM, then go to step 1 . NO: Troubleshooting is complete. If any other Pending or Confirmed DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.
23. Reconnect all connectors.
24. Update the ECM/PCM if it does not have the latest software (see «ECM/PCM UPDATE»(ref-320426-S22945234462009071400000) ), or substitute a known-good ECM/PCM (see «SUBSTITUTING THE ECM/PCM»(ref-320425-S18610926012009071400000) ).
25. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC P0107 indicated? YES: Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the MAP sensor and the ECM/PCM. If the ECM/PCM was updated, substitute a known-good ECM/PCM (see «SUBSTITUTING THE ECM/PCM»(ref-320425-S18610926012009071400000) ), then recheck. If the ECM/PCM was substituted, go to step 1 . NO: If the ECM/PCM was updated, troubleshooting is complete. If the ECM/PCM was substituted, replace the original ECM/PCM (see «ECM/PCM REPLACEMENT»(ref-320426-S21651098282009071400000) ). If any other Pending or Confirmed DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.
