- Test the motor in each direction by connecting battery power and ground to the power window master switch 26P connector according to the table.
- If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, go to step 4.
- For 4-door: Remove the door panel See «FRONT DOOR PANEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (2-DOOR)»(ref-614126-S00453222102014050700000) or «FRONT DOOR PANEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (4-DOOR)»(ref-614126-S09999868332014050700000) .
- Disconnect the 2P connector from the driver's power window motor.
- Check for continuity between the power window master switch 26P connector terminals and driver's power window motor 2P connector terminals as shown. There should be continuity. Power window master switch 26P connector Driver's power window motor 2P connector 14 1 19 2
- If there is no continuity, repair an open or high resistance in the wire(s). - Do the power window master switch input test for terminals No. 9, No. 10, No. 11, and No. 12.
Immobilizer System Status Log
If you suspect there is an immobilizer system problem, check the status log in the HDS.
- Connect the HDS to the data link connector (DLC).
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
- On the HDS screen, at SYSTEM SELECTION MENU, enter IMMOBI, then select IMMOBILIZER SETUP, select SYSTEM CHECK, NUMBER of KEYS and STATUS LOG, then select STATUS LOG.
- Check the STATUS LOG count. Troubleshoot the status with the highest count first. If no counts are listed, the immobilizer system is OK. Continue with normal symptom troubleshooting. - Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
- Disconnect the immobilizer-keyless control unit 7P connector. «Immobilizer-Keyless Control Unit Removal and Installation»(ref-614157-S12135910642014050700000)
- Inspect the connector and socket terminals to be sure they are all making good contact. If the terminals are bent, loose, or corroded, repair them as necessary, and recheck the system. If the terminals are OK, go to step 4.
- With the connector still disconnected, do the following input tests: If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system. If all the input tests prove OK, go to step 5.
