Removal and Installation

CAUTIONSpark plug wires must be connected to the correct ignition coil terminal.
CAUTIONIt is important to twist the spark plug wire boots while pulling upward to avoid possible damage to the spark plug wire.

  1. Using the special tool, with a twisting motion pull the spark plug wire off the spark plug.
  2. Disconnect the spark plug wire from the ignition coil by twisting while pulling upward.
  3. Open the spark plug wire separators and remove the spark plug wire.
  4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

  1. Using the special tool, with a twisting motion pull the spark plug wire off the spark plug.
  2. Remove the spark plug.
  3. Inspect the spark plug firing tip. For additional information, refer to «ENGINE SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION»(ref-212097) .
  4. Adjust the spark plug gap as necessary.
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
