Removal and Installation

  1. Open the roof opening panel fully to access the air deflector.
  2. Remove the air deflector. Using a flat blade screwdriver, gently pry the air deflector from the rear LH and RH attaching brackets until the snap features disengage. Using a flat blade screwdriver, gently pry the air deflector from the front LH and RH attaching brackets until the snap features disengage.
  3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

  1. Open the roof opening panel glass halfway.
  2. Unsnap the roof opening panel trough and position it aside.
  3. Protect the painted surfaces around the opening.
  4. Position the roof opening panel glass into the vent position.
  5. Remove the six roof opening panel glass screws.
  6. Remove the roof opening panel glass.
  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  8. Align the roof opening panel. For additional information, REFER to «ROOF OPENING PANEL ALIGNMENT»(ref-233769-S03088034192006052600000) .
  9. Initialize the roof opening panel motor. For additional information, REFER to «ROOF OPENING PANEL MOTOR INITIALIZATION»(ref-233769-S08473553762006052600000) .

Removal

  1. Remove the roof opening panel glass. REFER to «ROOF OPENING PANEL GLASS»(ref-233769-S27316168252006052600000) .
  2. Remove the roof opening panel glass weatherstrip.

  1. Place a new weatherstrip into position on the glass assembly, with the splice (seam) on the passenger side.
  2. Starting with the corners, push the weatherstrip into position. Continue pushing the weatherstrip into position around the glass assembly until complete. Use a plastic hammer if necessary.
  3. Install the roof opening panel glass. REFER to «ROOF OPENING PANEL GLASS»(ref-233769-S27316168252006052600000) .

  1. Open the roof opening panel glass halfway.
  2. Unsnap the roof opening panel trough.
  3. Position the roof opening panel glass into the vent position.
  4. Slide the roof opening panel trough rearward over the roof opening panel shield stops.
  5. Beginning with the front, disengage all four shield guides from the track.
  6. Remove the roof opening panel shield through the rear (vented) roof opening.
  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

  1. Remove the roof opening panel motor access panel.
  2. Remove the roof opening panel motor screws.
  3. Disconnect the roof opening panel motor electrical connector.
  4. Remove the roof opening panel motor.

Installation

  1. Connect the roof opening panel motor electrical connector to the roof opening panel motor wiring electrical connector.
  2. Install the roof opening panel motor screws.
  3. Install the roof opening panel access panel.
  4. Initialize the roof opening panel motor. For additional information, REFER to «ROOF OPENING PANEL MOTOR INITIALIZATION»(ref-233769-S08473553762006052600000) .

  1. Remove the roof opening panel glass. REFER to «ROOF OPENING PANEL GLASS»(ref-233769-S27316168252006052600000) .
  2. Operate roof opening panel to the flush position.
  3. Remove the 8 track and rail screws.
  4. Remove the roof opening panel motor. REFER to «ROOF OPENING PANEL MOTOR»(ref-233769-S31936482452006052600000) .
  5. Manually pull the roof opening panel shield and trough to the forward position.
  6. Remove track and rail assembly.
  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. Remove the roof opening panel track and rail assembly. Refer to «ROOF OPENING PANEL TRACK AND RAIL ASSEMBLY»(ref-233769-S32195761042006052600000) .
  2. Manually slide the roof opening panel shield and trough assembly rearward to about halfway.
  3. Release one side of the trough guide from the track.
  4. Release and remove the trough.
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

  1. Remove the roof opening panel glass. For additional information, REFER to «ROOF OPENING PANEL GLASS»(ref-233769-S27316168252006052600000) .
  2. Slide the trough and the shield assembly rearward.
  3. Move the guide bracket rearward until the lifter pin is at the top of the curved slot and remove the E-clip.
  4. Slide the lifter arm feet forward and remove from the track.
  5. Rotate the lifter arm upwards, then unsnap it from the lifter pin.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
