Automatic Transmission External Controls: Removal & Installation Ford Ranger I

Installation

1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order. Move manual lever into the overdrive (O/D) range. Adjust the transmission shift cable; refer to «CABLE/BRACKET ADJUSTMENT»(ref-194507-S41148988362005092800000) .

1. Remove the ignition switch lock cylinder; refer to Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder - Functional Lock Cylinder in «STEERING COLUMN»(ref-204973) .
2. Remove the upper steering column shroud (3530) and the rubber shift lever cover.
3. Remove the gearshift lever (7210). Disconnect the shift control selector lever harness connector. Remove and discard the gearshift lever pin (7G357). Remove the gearshift lever.

1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.

1. Remove the Transmission Control Switch (TCS). Remove the TCS cover. Remove the TCS.
