Removal

  2. NOTE: Make sure the block heater wiring is routed and secured away from rotating or hot components.
  3. Torque : 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

  2. Completely cover the A/C belt with waterproof plastic.

  4. NOTE: Cover the generator to prevent coolant contamination of the generator. Completely cover the generator with waterproof plastic. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

  6. NOTE: Some vehicles are equipped with a grille shutter assembly framework only. These vehicles will not have a grille shutter actuator or a grille shutter linkage. Refer to: «ACTIVE GRILLE SHUTTER»(ref-658872-S14801360282014092900000) .
  7. Torque : 44 lb.in (5 Nm)
  8. If equipped.
  9. Both sides. Torque : 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  2. Fill and bleed the cooling system. Refer to: «COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING»(ref-658854-S21377632492014092900000) .
  3. Evacuate, leak test and charge the A/C system. Refer to: «AIR CONDITIONING (A/C) SYSTEM RECOVERY, EVACUATION AND CHARGING»(ref-658833-S06588196542014092900000) .

  2. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
WARNINGAlways allow the engine to cool before opening the cooling system. Do not unscrew the coolant pressure relief cap when the engine is operating or the cooling system is hot. The cooling system is under pressure; steam and hot liquid can come out forcefully when the cap is loosened slightly. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury.
