Automatic Transmission Cooler - Transaxle/transmission Cooling: Removal & Installation Ford Focus II рестайлинг

REMOVAL

All vehicles

  1. Disconnect the mass air flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector.
  2. Disconnect the crankcase ventilation hose and disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose.
  3. Loosen the air cleaner inlet hose clamp.
  4. Remove the 2 bolts.
  5. Loosen the clamp, pull the air cleaner assembly straight up and remove the air cleaner assembly.
  6. Remove the 4 secondary latches from the transmission fluid cooler tubes.
  7. Disconnect the transmission fluid cooler tubes from the transaxle and the transmission fluid cooler and remove the transmission fluid cooler tubes. Compress the tabs on the transmission fluid cooler tube latches and slide the latch out of the transmission fluid cooler tube to unlock the transmission fluid cooler tube from the transaxle or transmission fluid cooler. Remove the transmission fluid cooler tubes.

INSTALLATION

All vehicles

  1. If the transmission fluid cooler tube latches are not in the unlocked position, compress the tabs on the transmission fluid cooler tube latches and slide the latch out of the transmission fluid cooler tube to unlock the latch.
  2. Install the transmission fluid cooler tubes. Connect the transmission fluid cooler tubes to the transaxle and the transmission fluid cooler and slide the latches to the locked position. Pull back on each connector to confirm that it is locked on the transaxle or the transmission fluid cooler.
  3. Install the 4 secondary latches.
  4. Position the air cleaner in place and tighten the air cleaner outlet tube clamp. Tighten to 4 Nm (35 lb-in).
  5. Connect the crankcase ventilation hose and connect the brake booster vacuum hose.
  6. Tighten the air cleaner inlet hose clamp. Tighten to 4 Nm (35 lb-in).
  7. Install the 2 bolts. Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
  8. Connect the MAF sensor electrical connector.
  9. Check the transmission fluid and fill if necessary.
