Front Toe Adjustment
Note. The checking and subsequent adjustment of the front toe setting should be carried out on a flat surface and in accordance with the manufacturers instructions for the wheel alignment equipment used.

- Centralize the steering and lock it in position.
- Loosen the tie-rod end locknuts.
- Remove the steering gear boot outer clamps.
- Rotate the tie-rods an equal amount in either a clockwise or a counterclockwise direction to adjust the toe setting.
- Tighten the tie-rod end locknuts. For additional information, refer to «STEERING LINKAGE»(ref-207744) .
- Install the steering gear boot outer clamps.
- Check the toe setting.

- Examine all suspension components for signs of damage or wear.
- Check and, if necessary, adjust the tire pressures to specification.
- Make sure the vehicle is at curb weight and that the spare wheel, jack and vehicle tools are stowed in their designated positions. Additional items should be removed from the vehicle.
- Bounce the vehicle to make sure that the suspension is in its normal resting position.
- Using suitable Four wheel alignment equipment, check the toe setting.
- Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to «JACKING AND LIFTING»(ref-234418) .
- Loosen the nut.
- Tighten the nut.
- Lower the vehicle. Bounce the vehicle to make sure that the suspension is in its normal resting position.
- Adjust the toe setting. Rotate the bolt and eccentric washer to achieve the required setting.
- Tighten the nut.
