- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the bolt and the ignition coil.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure. Apply silicone dielectric compound to the inside of the ignition coil boot.

- Remove the ignition coil. For additional information, refer to «IGNITION COIL-ON-PLUG»(ref-207755-S19007462722005120100000) .
- Remove the spark plug.
- Inspect the spark plugs. SPARK PLUGS INSPECTION Item Description 1 Deposits bridging spark plug gap 2 Wet black deposits (oil fouling) 3 Dry black deposits (carbon fouling) 4 Normal spark plug 5 Pre-ignition 6 Overheating 7 Fused spot deposits
- Check and adjust the spark plug gap as necessary.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
