1. Attach the draw cord to the transaxle end of the selector lever cable.
2. Pull the selector lever cable through the floor panel.
3. Install the selector lever cable grommet.
4. Secure the insulator material and the floor covering with adhesive tape (head exchanger shown removed).
5. Install the heater housing cover (right-hand side shown). Locate the four clips. Install the two screws.
6. Install the footwell heater channel.
7. Install the center console lower trim panels (left-hand side shown). Install the clip. Install the screws.
8. Install the armrest brace.
9. Install the selector cable to the selector lever. Shift the selector lever to "P". Clip in the selector lever cable outer sleeve. Clip in the selector lever cable.
10. Install the floor console. For additional information, refer to «INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONSOLE»(ref-207811) .
11. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to «JACKING AND LIFTING»(ref-234418) .
12. Remove the draw cord.
13. Unlock the shift cable end. Make sure that the cable end moves freely.
14. Connect the shift cable end to the manual control lever. Connect the shift cable to the cable bracket. Connect the shift cable end to the manual control lever.
15. Press the lock tab down to secure the cable end from moving.
16. Install the exhaust heat shield.
17. Connect the center exhaust hanger and remove the support wire.
18. Attach the exhaust pipe support insulators and connect the front exhaust pipe.
19. Remove the support wrap.
20. Adjust the selector lever cable. For additional information, refer to «SELECTOR LEVER CABLE ADJUSTMENT»(ref-207764-S13157649002005120100000) .
21. Connect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to «BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES»(ref-207791) .
22. Install the air cleaner. For additional information, refer to «INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING»(ref-207759) .
23. Install the battery tray. For additional information, refer to «BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES»(ref-207791) .
24. Check that the vehicle starts in PARK and NEUTRAL and the reverse lamps illuminate in REVERSE.

1. Remove the floor console. For additional information, refer to «INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONSOLE»(ref-207811) .
2. Remove the selector lever cable from the selector. Shift the selector lever to "P". Unclip the selector lever cable. Unclip the selector lever cable outer sleeve.
3. Disconnect the selector lever assembly electrical connector.
4. Remove the selector lever assembly. Remove the four nuts.

1. Install the selector lever assembly. Install the four nuts.
2. Connect the selector lever assembly electrical connector.
3. Install the selector cable to the selector lever. Shift the selector lever to "P". Clip in the selector lever cable outer sleeve. Clip in the selector lever cable.
4. Install the floor console. For additional information, refer to «INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONSOLE»(ref-207811) .
5. Readjust the system. For additional information, refer to «SELECTOR LEVER CABLE ADJUSTMENT»(ref-207764-S13157649002005120100000) .

1. Remove the selector lever knob. For additional information, refer to «TRANSMISSION SELECTOR LEVER KNOB»(ref-207764-S36906084252005120100000) .
2. Remove the selector lever bezel (selector lever assembly removed shown). Unclip the bezel. Unclip the lamp.

1. Install the selector lever bezel (selector lever assembly removed shown). Clip in the bezel. Clip in the lamp.
2. Install the selector lever knob. For additional information, refer to «TRANSMISSION SELECTOR LEVER KNOB»(ref-207764-S36906084252005120100000) .

1. Remove the floor console. For additional information, refer to «INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONSOLE»(ref-207811) .
2. Disconnect the overdrive (O/D) switch electrical connector (selector lever assembly removed shown).
3. Remove the selector lever knob. Remove the screw. Pull off the knob.

1. Position the selector lever knob onto the lever and route the wiring harness through the transmission range indicator.
2. Slide the selector lever knob down the shaft and install the screw.
3. Connect the O/D switch electrical connector (selector lever assembly removed shown).
