No: CHECK the LH or RH exterior mirror jumper harness between the vehicle harness and the exterior mirror motors for shorted circuits or damaged and pushed-out pins. If the jumper harness is not OK, REPAIR the jumper harness. If the jumper harness cannot be repaired, INSTALL a new exterior mirror. REFER to «Exterior Mirror»(ref-517613-S13969929342012121200000) . If the jumper harness is OK, INSTALL a new exterior mirror motor. REFER to «Exterior Mirror Motor»(ref-517613-S31855867162012121200000) .
- CHECK THE DSM FOR CORRECT OPERATION Ignition OFF. Disconnect and inspect all DSM connectors. Repair: corrosion (install new connector or terminals - clean module pins) damaged or bent pins - install new terminals/pins pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary Reconnect the DSM connectors. Make sure they seat and latch correctly. Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present. Is the concern still present? Yes: CHECK OASIS for any applicable TSBs . If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, INSTALL a new DSM. REFER to «DRIVER SEAT MODULE (DSM)»(ref-517614-S41646412882012121200000) . No: The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by module connections. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.

Does the temperature of the rear window glass rise? Yes: GO to 2 . - CHECK THE DSM FOR CORRECT OPERATION Ignition OFF. Disconnect and inspect all DSM connectors. Repair: corrosion (install new connector or terminals - clean module pins) damaged or bent pins - install new terminals/pins pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary Reconnect the DSM connectors and all previously disconnected exterior system connectors. Make sure they seat and latch correctly. Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present. Is the concern still present? Yes: CHECK OASIS for any applicable TSBs . If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, INSTALL a new DSM. REFER to «DRIVER SEAT MODULE (DSM)»(ref-517614-S41646412882012121200000) . No: The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by module connections. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.

The mirror should adjust to a high reflectance mode (mirror will be clear). Does the mirror adjust to the high reflectance (clear) mode? Yes: GO to 4 . No: INSTALL a new interior auto-dimming mirror. - CHECK OPERATION OF THE INTERIOR AUTO-DIMMING MIRROR - NIGHTTIME CONDITIONS WITH GLARE Ignition ON. NOTE: Covering the sensor with a finger or hand is not adequate. Simulate nighttime conditions with glare: Cover the forward sensor with black electrical tape or other dark material. Illuminate the rearward facing sensor. The mirror should darken to a lower reflectance mode. Did the mirror darken to a lower reflectance (darker) mode? Yes: GO to 5 . No: GO to 7 .
- CHECK OPERATION OF THE INTERIOR AUTO-DIMMING MIRROR - NIGHTTIME CONDITIONS WITHOUT GLARE Ignition ON. NOTE: Covering the sensor with a finger or hand is not adequate. Simulate nighttime conditions without glare by covering the rearward facing sensor. The mirror should adjust to the high reflectance mode. Did the mirror adjust to the high reflectance (clear) mode? Yes: GO to 6 . No: GO to 7 .

- REVIEW THE DTCs Review the DTCs from the DSM self-test. Are DTCs B106F and B1342 present? Yes: CORRECT the cause of any other DTCs present first. When other DTCs are corrected, INSTALL a new DSM. REFER to «DRIVER SEAT MODULE (DSM)»(ref-517614-S41646412882012121200000) . No: GO to 2 .
- REPAIR OTHER DTCs Repair the cause of any DTCs present, other than DTC B106E. REFER to «DTC CHART: DRIVER SEAT MODULE (DSM)»(ref-517614-S22354534442012121200000) . Clear the DTCs . Using a scan tool, perform the DSM self-test. Is DTC B106E still present? Yes: The fault causing the output state to be disabled is still present. REPAIR the cause of the concern. No: The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern was caused by a fault in one of the output circuits.
