Parking Aid System - Active Park Assist: Removal & Installation Ford Explorer V

Installation

  1. After installing the sensor(s), use the scan tool to verify that the active park assist sensor PIDs responding correctly. Carry out the Azimuth System check. For more information, REFER to «Azimuth System Check»(ref-517588-S11756959462012121200000) . If the parking aid sensor does not respond correctly. REFER to «DTC AND SYMPTOM CHART(S)»(ref-517588-S29637723912012121200000) for the Active Park Assist system in the Diagnosis and Testing portion of this information.
  2. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

  1. Remove the lower LH instrument panel trim panel. Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
  2. Release the retainers and remove the active park assist switch.
  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
