Removal

Note. The windshield wiper pivot arm (17526) can be removed at any point in the wiper sweep without the use of tools.

1. Release the pivot arm locking lever. Carefully raise the windshield wiper blade away from the windshield glass (03100) until it stops. Pull the locking lever away from the windshield wiper pivot arm.
2. Lift the windshield wiper pivot arm from the windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft (17566).

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Adjust the windshield wiper pivot arm; refer to «WIPER BLADE AND PIVOT ARM ADJUSTMENT»(ref-210211-S12016683552005121400000) .

1. Remove the windshield wiper pivot arms (17526); refer to «PIVOT ARM»(ref-210211-S42834647822005121400000) .
2. Remove the cowl top vent panels (022A68); refer to «FRONT END BODY PANELS»(ref-210201) .
3. Disconnect the windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft. Remove the access cover from the dash panel (01610). Remove the retaining clip. Disconnect the windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft from the windshield wiper motor (17508).
4. Remove the windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft. Remove the screws. Remove the windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft.

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

1. Remove the windshield wiper pivot arms. For additional information, refer to «PIVOT ARM»(ref-210211-S42834647822005121400000) .
2. Raise and support the hood.
3. Remove the cowl top vent panels.
4. Disconnect the windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft. Remove the access cover from the dash panel. Remove the retaining clip. Disconnect the windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft from the windshield wiper motor.
5. Remove the windshield wiper motor. Disconnect the electrical connector. Remove the bolts. Remove the windshield wiper motor.

1. Install the mounting arm and pivot shaft retaining clip on the windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft.
2. Install the windshield wiper motor. Position the windshield wiper motor in the dash panel. Install the bolts. Connect the electrical connector.
3. Connect the windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft. Press upward on the windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft after it is aligned with the windshield wiper motor. Install the access cover in the dash panel.
4. Install the cowl top vent panels.
5. Install the windshield wiper pivot arms. For additional information, refer to «PIVOT ARM»(ref-210211-S42834647822005121400000)

1. Raise and support the hood (16612).
2. Remove the battery (10655).
3. Remove the battery tray (10732). Remove the bolts. Remove the battery tray.
4. Remove the washer pump and reservoir. Remove the nut. Remove the bolt. Disconnect the filler hose. Disconnect the electrical connector. Detach the wiring harness locator from the washer pump and reservoir. Disconnect the windshield washer hose. Remove the washer pump and reservoir.
5. Remove the washer pump from the reservoir.

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Fill the windshield washer reservoir with windshield washer fluid.

Scheme 15

1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to «INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION»(ref-210204) .
2. Remove the wiper module. Disconnect the electrical connector. Push the detent tabs on the wiper control module through the holes in the mounting bracket and slide the module off the bracket. Remove the wiper control module.
