- Verify the customer concern by operating the windshield wiper and washer system to duplicate the condition.
- Visually inspect for the following obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage. VISUAL INSPECTION CHART
- If the concern is not visually evident, determine the symptom and proceed to «SYMPTOM CHART»(ref-210211-S13770067682005121400000) .

- Cycle and park the windshield wipers.
- Verify that the distance between the center of the RH windshield wiper blade (17528) and the cowl top vent panel is within specification.
- Verify that the distance between the center of the LH windshield wiper blade and the cowl top vent panel is within specification.
- If the distance is not within specification, remove the windshield wiper pivot arm (17526) that is not within specification and reposition it to specification; refer to «PIVOT ARM»(ref-210211-S42834647822005121400000)
