Illuminated Entry

On vehicles equipped with an optional remote keyless entry (RKE) system, the illuminated entry activates the interior lamps anytime an RKE transmitter unlock button is pressed. The length of time the illuminated entry system is energized is controlled by the RKE module. The illuminated entry feature will be canceled when any of the following conditions are met

  1. 25 seconds have elapsed since the illuminated entry feature was activated and the interior lamp control is turned off.
  2. The ignition is in the RUN or START position, and the interior lamp control is not activated.
  3. The RKE transmitter lock button is pressed.

Refer to the appropriate SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS article for schematic and connector information.
