CAUTIONDo not pry on the swivel tube to disconnect the transmission shift linkage.

Note. Manual shift lever must be in the NEUTRAL position.

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to «JACKING & LIFTING»(ref-210109) .
  2. Disconnect the digital TR electrical connector.
  3. Disconnect the manual lever shift control cable.
  4. Remove the manual control lever. Remove the manual control lever nut. Remove the manual control lever.
  5. Loosen but do not remove the digital TR sensor bolts.
  6. Using the special tool, align the digital TR sensor slots. The tool is designed to fit snug.
  7. Using the special tool, align the digital TR sensor and tighten the screws in an alternating sequence.
  8. Install the manual control lever. Position the manual control lever. Install a new manual lever shaft outer nut.
  9. With the manual lever in overdrive, connect the shift lever control cable.
  10. Install the digital TR sensor electrical connector.
