1. Remove the brake disc and hub. For additional information, refer to «FRONT DISC BRAKE»(/ford/cutaway-e350/2004-2007/remont/mechanical-hydraulic/#front-disc-brakes) .
2. Using a suitable press, remove the wheel stud from the brake disc and hub.
3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

1. Remove the front coil spring. For additional information, refer to «SPRING»(/ford/cutaway-e350/2004-2007/remont/suspension-front/#front-suspension) .
2. Loosen the shock absorber upper nut.
3. Remove the shock absorber lower nut, then slide the shock absorber off the radius arm.
4. Remove the spring insulator. Remove the radius arm-to-axle nut and bolt. Remove the spring retainer and insulator.
5. Remove the radius arm. Remove the nut. Remove the washer and rear insulator. Pull the radius arm from the bracket, and remove the spacer, insulator and washer.
6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

2. Remove the four bolts and the stabilizer bar.
3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

1. Remove the stabilizer bar. For additional information, refer to «STABILIZER BAR»(/ford/cutaway-e350/2004-2007/remont/suspension-front/#front-suspension) .
2. Using the special tools, remove the stabilizer bar bushing from the I-beam axle.

1. Using the special tools, install the stabilizer bar bushing.

1. Remove the coil spring. For additional information, refer to «SPRING»(/ford/cutaway-e350/2004-2007/remont/suspension-front/#front-suspension) .
2. Remove the bolt and lower the pivot end of the front axle.
3. Using the special tools, remove the axle pivot bushing.

1. Position the new pivot bushing.
2. Press the new pivot bushing into the front axle, leaving the specified clearance between the pivot bushing flange and the front axle.
3. Position the front axle, bolt and nut into the pivot bracket. Tighten the nut hand-tight.
4. Install the front coil spring. For additional information, refer to «SPRING»(/ford/cutaway-e350/2004-2007/remont/suspension-front/#front-suspension) .
5. Lower the vehicle and, with the vehicle weight on the suspension, tighten the axle pivot nut.

2. Remove the wheel speed sensor. For additional information, refer to «ANTI-LOCK CONTROL»(/ford/cutaway-e350/2004-2007/remont/anti-locktraction-control/#anti-lock-brake-system-anti-lock-control) .
3. Remove and discard the cotter pin and nut.
4. Using the special tool, disconnect the tie-rod end.
5. Remove and discard the cotter pin and the nut.
6. Remove the caster/camber insert pinch bolt.
7. Remove the front wheel spindle. Strike the lower end of the front axle to loosen the ball joint. Remove the front wheel spindle.
8. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Check and, if necessary, align the front end. For additional information, refer to «SUSPENSION SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION»(/ford/cutaway-e350/2004-2007/remont/suspension-front/#suspension-syste-general-information) .

1. Remove the wheel spindle assembly. For additional information, refer to «WHEEL SPINDLE»(/ford/cutaway-e350/2004-2007/remont/suspension-front/#front-suspension) .
2. Position the front wheel spindle in a vise, and remove the snap ring from the lower ball joint.
3. Using the special tool and suitable receiver cup, remove the lower ball joint from the front wheel spindle.
4. Using the special tool and suitable receiver cup, remove the upper ball joint.

1. Using the special tool with suitable receiver cups, install the lower ball joint.
2. Using the special tool with suitable receiver cups, install the upper ball joint.
3. Install the snap ring in the groove at the bottom of the ball joint.
4. Install the front wheel spindle. For additional information, refer to «WHEEL SPINDLE»(/ford/cutaway-e350/2004-2007/remont/suspension-front/#front-suspension) .

1. Remove the stabilizer bar. For additional information, refer to «STABILIZER BAR»(/ford/cutaway-e350/2004-2007/remont/suspension-front/#front-suspension) .
2. Using a suitable jack, support the front axle.
3. Loosen the shock absorber upper nut. Loosen the nut to the top of the threads.
4. Remove the front spring upper retainer bolt and the upper spring retainer.
5. Lower the jack supporting the front axle, then remove the front coil spring from the lower retainer. Using a suitable spray lubricant, spray the lower spring and spring retainer. Rotate the spring 180 degrees counterclockwise, tilt the spring outward and remove.
6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

1. Remove the spindle. For additional information, refer to «WHEEL SPINDLE»(/ford/cutaway-e350/2004-2007/remont/suspension-front/#front-suspension) .
2. Using a suitable jack, support the axle.
3. Remove the four bolts and the stabilizer bar.
4. Loosen the shock absorber upper nut.
5. Remove the shock absorber lower nut, then slide the shock absorber off the radius arm.
6. Remove the front spring upper retainer bolt and the upper spring retainer.
7. Lower the jack supporting the axle, then remove the front coil spring from the lower retainer. Using a suitable spray lubricant, spray the lower spring and spring retainer. Rotate the spring 180 degrees counterclockwise, tilt the spring outward and remove.
8. Remove the spring insulator. Remove the radius arm-to-axle nut and bolt. Remove the spring retainer and insulator.
9. Remove the radius arm. Remove the nut. Remove the washer and rear insulator. Remove the radius arm from the bracket, and remove the spacer, insulator and washer.
10. Remove the pivot nut and bolt and remove the axle.
11. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
