Making Changes To The PCM Calibration
At certain times, the entire EEPROM needs to be completely reprogrammed. This is due to changes made to the strategy or calibration after production or the need to reset the VID block because it has reached its limit. Refer to Module Reprogramming on the scan tool.
Making Changes To The TCM Calibration
If the TCM does not complete the reflash after two consecutive attempts, follow the instructions listed below
- If the TCM reprogramming aborts during the procedure: Reprogram the TCM again. After the TCM reprogramming is successfully completed, clear the continuous DTCs in the PCM and the TCM.
- If the TCM reprogramming aborts immediately after the start: Turn the ignition OFF. Disconnect the PCM B connector, and leave it disconnected. Turn the ignition ON. Start the TCM reprogramming. After the TCM reprogramming is successfully completed, turn the ignition OFF and connect the PCM B connector. Clear any PCM and TCM DTCs that may have been stored during reprogramming.
