| Description | This DTC sets when the engine coolant temperature rationality test has failed. The PCM logic that sets this DTC indicates the engine coolant temperature or cylinder head temperature drifted higher than the nominal sensor calibration curve and could prevent one or more on board diagnostic (OBD) monitors from executing. The PCM runs this logic after an engine off calibrated soak period, typically 6 to 8 hours. | ||

| Possible Causes | Cylinder head temperature (CHT) sensor concern Coolant system concern | ||
| Diagnostic Aids | Make sure the IAT and the engine coolant temperature are similar when the engine is cold. Also make sure the CHT sensor and the actual engine operating temperatures are the same. | ||
| Application | Key On Engine Off | Key On Engine Running | Continuous Memory |
