ENGINE LUBRICATION SYSTEM

Engine oiling system is a full flow, filtrated, pressure fed type system. Oil pump is mounted in front engine cover and is driven by crankshaft. Pressurized oil is routed through main oil gallery, running the length of cylinder block, supplying main and rod bearings through secondary passages. Pistons are lubricated from slots in connecting rod assemblies and from rod bearing throw off. Camshaft and valve mechanisms are lubricated from a full length oil gallery supplied via crankcase main gallery. A cylinder head restrictor, located in the block, provides increased oil flow to the main oil gallery. see scheme 26
