TROUBLE SHOOTING
- Check circuit breaker No. 19 (20-amp) in junction block. Junction block is located under left side of instrument panel.
- Check fuse No. 18 (40-amp) in Power Distribution Center (PDC). PDC is located under left side of instrument panel.
- Check for good ground at instrument panel, left side cowl.
MOTOR TEST
- Remove appropriate door trim panel. See «DOOR TRIM PANEL»(ref-123837-S41528678482001092700000) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect window motor connector. Using jumper wires, apply battery voltage to window motor terminals. Motor should operate, unless it is already at maximum travel. Reverse jumper wires. Motor should operate in opposite direction.
- If window does not move in either direction, replace window motor. If motor operates in one direction only, remove motor. See «POWER WINDOW MOTOR»(ref-123837-S42189761072001092700000) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Check window/regulator for freedom of movement.
- Remove screws holding glass lift plate to regulator. Slide window up and down by hand to ensure it moves freely in glass channels. If window slides freely, check regulator assembly. Repair window/regulator as necessary.
POWER WINDOW SWITCH TEST
Remove power window switch. See DRIVER'S WINDOW SWITCH or PASSENGER'S WINDOW SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using an ohmmeter, check power window switch continuity. See appropriate WINDOW SWITCH CONTINUITY table. see scheme 1or (Scheme 1). If continuity is not as specified, replace power window switch.
