TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE (TCM)

A/C PRESSURE SENSOR
Note. A/C pressure sensor may also be referred to as A/C pressure switch or A/C pressure transducer. A/C system does not need to be discharged to replace A/C pressure sensor.
CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR
See CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR under IGNITION SYSTEM.
CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR
See CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR under IGNITION SYSTEM.
EGR SOLENOID
The EGR valve, EGR backpressure transducer and EGR solenoid must be replaced as an assembly. See EGR VALVE ASSEMBLY under EMISSION SYSTEMS.
EVAP PURGE SOLENOID
See EVAP PURGE SOLENOID under EMISSION SYSTEMS.
FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE
| WARNING | ALWAYS release fuel pressure before disconnecting any fuel injection-related component. DO NOT allow fuel to contact engine or electrical components. |
| CAUTION | When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery. |
- Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove fuel tank filler cap. Remove protective cap from service port on fuel rail.
- Service port is located near center of front (radiator side) fuel rail.
- Place end of Hose (C-4799-1) into an approved fuel container. Attach remaining end of hose at service port on fuel rail. Use care, as fuel system may be under pressure. Fuel pressure will be released from fuel system. Remove hose, reinstall protective cap, fuel tank filler cap and negative battery cable.
FUEL LINE DISCONNECT FITTINGS
Note. Fuel lines may contain dual tab or plastic retainer ring disconnect fitting. (Схема №7) Determine type of disconnect fitting used and use proper procedure for disconnect fitting.
FUEL PUMP
Fuel pump is incorporated into the fuel pump module. See FUEL PUMP MODULE under FUEL SYSTEM.
