Foreword
The cruise control device maintains vehicle speed at a value programmed by the customer
The driver can
- Exceed the programmed speed by pressing the accelerator pedal
- Modify the programmed speed by pressing the cruise control switch
NoteCruise control only operates from 40 km/h

Switch module at the steering wheel
The switching module under the steering wheel is a monoblock unit which groups the following components
- The lighting stalk (13)
- The stalk bracket (14)
- The rotating switch (15)
- The wiper stalk (16)
- The audio system control (17) (according to model)
- The cruise control stalk (18) (according to model)
The switching module under the steering wheel is the man/machine interface for for the radio controls, cruise control, wipers and lighting
The switching module under the steering wheel retransmits to the BSI the actions of the user via the multiplexed network VAN CAR 1
The switching module under the steering wheel also assures the following functions
- Control of the buzzer incorporated in the stalk support in relation to the sound requests transmitted by the BSI
- Reception of HF messages from the plip and the deflation emitters
- Communication with the transponder for the engine immobiliser
- Retransmission of information from the steering wheel angle sensor
The cruise control stalk
| "a" | neutralisation |
|---|---|
| "b" | increase of the instructed speed |
| "c" | decrease of the instructed speed |
Adding, removing or replacing the cruise control device requires no configuration operation
Cruise control function commands
| Initial status | control | final status | action |
|---|---|---|---|
| off | on | waiting time | activates the cruise control function |
| waiting time | + or - | regulation | current speed memorised as the control speed |
| regulation | + or - short press | regulation | increase or decrease of the control speed by more or less 3,6 km/h |
| regulation | + or - long press | regulation | progressive increase or decrease of the control speed (following a ramp) |
| regulation | cancellation | waiting time | slow exit from cruise control, control speed memorised |
| waiting time | + or - short press | regulation | resumption of cruise control at the memorised speed |
| waiting time | + or - long press | regulation | resumption of cruise control at the current speed which becomes the control speed |
| waiting/cruise control | off | off | slow exit from cruise control, loss of the control speed |
