Compact coil housing (1135)
The coils are attached to a compact box located and fastened on the cylinder head
Monostatic ignition (one coil per cylinder)
Sparking plugs
Flat seat ignition plugs
Tightening torque: 2,5 daNm
Injection ECU
The coil command and power stages are incorporated into the ECU (there is no external ignition module)
The synchronisation of ignition is achieved by the sensor of the N°1 reference cylinder
The HPi engine uses several operating modes
- Operating with a very weak stratified air/petrol mixture (late type)
- Operation with a homogeneous air/petrol mixture
The primary current of the ignition coils is modulated by the injection ECU as a function of the following elements
- The battery voltage
- The general engine operating condition
