Operating cycle

Pre-heating (for ð 32 seconds)

Full speed

Part speed

Ventilation time delay after stopping (evacuation of gases and cooling) (for ð 120 seconds)

The heater system is automatically regulated

  • Depending on the calorific need connected with the air temperature and its delivery on the passenger compartment heater matrix
  • Depending on the heater fluid temperature

Phases of operation

  • Full speed - part speed - alternate stops: little heating need
  • Full speed - alternate speed: average heating need
  • Non-stop full speed: considerable heating need

Identification

(1) combustion boiler

(2) heater fluid reservoir

(3) heater matrix tube

(4) fuel pump

The heating of the passenger compartment and the demisting/de-icing of the windscreen are ensured by the heater matrix of the vehicle

The necessary source of heat is provided by a combustion boiler (1)

A warning lamp located on the heating control shows that the combustion boiler is energised

Fuel supply system

  • Fuel tank
  • Fuel pump (4)
  • Warning lamp indicating the minimum level, 2 litres approximately, on the dashboard

NoteTank capacity: 8 litres

Components installed underneath the floor, at the rear of the vehicle

  • Fuel tank
  • Fuel pump

Heater fluid system

  • Heater fluid reservoir (2)
  • Heater matrix
  • Heater matrix tube (3)
  • Circulation pump, integral with the boiler

Recommendations

WarningIt is advisable to leave the heater of the electric vehicle turned on for at least 15 min a month (even during the summer)

After switching on the heater, wait 5 min in order to judge its efficiency: the air coming out the ventilators should start warming up

If the air is being blown by the ventilators is not warm, carry out the following operations

  • Check the fuel level
  • Adjust the air temperature to "hot"
  • Switch the heating on again

WarningWhen the heater adjustment lever is switched back and forth several times in a row, its operation is delayed

NoteWhen the heater has not been used for a long time, unstable combustion may be observed for 5 min, (heavy roaring, smoke, combustion misfires)
