22 11 001 Replacing right engine mount (M54)
Remove right engine support arm. Refer to 22 11 100 REPLACING RIGHT ENGINE SUPPORT ARM (M54) .
Remove engine mount from front axle support.
22 11 011 Replacing left engine mount (M54)
Remove left engine support arm. Refer to 22 11 100 REPLACING RIGHT ENGINE SUPPORT ARM (M54) .
Remove engine mount from front axle support.
22 11 100 Replacing right engine support arm (M54)
Note. For Special Tool identification, see SPECIAL TOOLS - X5 (3.0i) .
Special Tools Required
- 00 0 200
Remove air duct for intake air.
Release engine mounts on left and right from above.
Raise engine with special tool 00 0 200 , described in 11 13 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING OIL SUMP (M54) .
Remove engine splash guard.
Detach grounding cable from support arm.
Detach engine support arm from engine block.
Installation
Observe different thread length.
Install longer screw at top center.
22 11 110 Replacing left engine support arm (M54)
Note. For Special Tool identification, see SPECIAL TOOLS - X5 (3.0i) .
Special Tools Required
- 00 0 200
Remove intake filter housing. Refer to 13 71 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING INTAKE FILTER HOUSING (M54) .
Remove air duct for intake air.
Release engine mounts on left and right from above.
Raise engine with special tool 00 0 200 , described in 11 13 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING OIL SUMP (M54) .
Remove oil dipstick guide tube.
Remove engine splash guard.
Remove left output shaft.
Remove air duct from alternator.
Detach engine support arm from engine block.
Installation
Observe different thread length.
Install longer screw at top center.
22 32 001 Replacing rubber mount for transmission mounting
Note. For Special Tool identification, see SPECIAL TOOLS - X5 (3.0i) .

Remove cross-member for transmission mounting, refer to 22 32 050 REPLACING CROSS-MEMBER FOR TRANSMISSION MOUNTING .
Position special tool 22 1 016 on opening (2) and twist in screw (3) hand-tight against housing.
Pull out rubber mount with special tools 22 1 011/33 3 144 and nut (1).
Nut (1) = nut M12x1.5 of rubber mount screw M12x1.5x220.

Installation
Arrow on rubber mount must point to arrow on housing.
Coat housing bore and rubber mount with Circolight.

Insert special tool 22 1 012 with pin into openings in rubber mount.
Scheme 1009
Pull in rubber mount with special tools 22 1 012/22 1 012/22 1 013 and 33 3 144.
From rubber mount screw M12x1.5x220, use nut (1) M12x1.5.

22 32 050 Replacing cross-member for transmission mounting
Remove exhaust system. Refer to 18 00 020 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COMPLETE EXHAUST SYSTEM (M62, M54) .
Remove heat shield at front left and right.
Support transmission with hydraulic lifter.
Release nut (1) and remove screw.
Unscrew left and right bolts.
Remove cross-member.
