Note. The settings indicate the values for a moving vehicle, i.e. the spray from the jets is slightly offset when the vehicle is stationary.

1. Mark the four points on the windshield using a water soluble marker

1. Dimension - a - = 400 mm
2. Dimension - b - = 250 mm
3. Dimension - c - = 300 mm
4. Dimension - d - = 500 mm.

1. Locate points from every single nozzle using Windshield Washer Aiming Tool T10127.
2. If the spray area does not correspond to the specifications, the nozzle is contaminated and must be cleaned.

Cleaning the nozzle

1. Remove nozzle --> «Spray Nozzles, through 08.07, Removing and Installing»(/audi/s8/d3-2007-2011/remont/cruise-control-systems/#electrical-equipment__spray-nozzles-through-0807-removing-and) .
2. Flush nozzle opposite to spray direction using clear water.
3. To remove remaining impurities, the nozzle must only be blown out opposite to spray direction using compressed air.

If the spray area still does not correspond to the specifications

1. Replace nozzle.
