Glass, Window Regulators (Cabriolet): Removal & Installation Audi S5 I facelift

INSTALLATION

  1. Gap dimensions, refer to «DOOR WINDOW ADJUSTMENT DIMENSIONS»(ref-522406-S10615717642013011400000) .
  2. Tightening specifications, refer to «DOOR WINDOW OVERVIEW»(ref-522406-S01249021102013011400000) .

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following

Insert the door window forward into the door window guide diagonally and then rotate it back into the door shaft.

Carefully side the door window parallel down into the clamping brackets. Make sure the door window in the front window guide does not slip out.

Press the door window down into the clamping brackets.

Note. Before installing the rear bolt, make sure the door window is seated in the clamping bracket mount.

Tighten the bolts.

Adjust the door window. Refer to DOOR WINDOW, ADJUSTING .

Remove rear side trim. Refer to Removal and Installation .

Remove the side window mount. Refer to SIDE WINDOW MOUNT .

Lower the window far enough so that the nuts inside the inner side panel are visible and then remove them -1 through 3-.

Tilt the side window -4- into the passenger compartment -arrow A-, until the threaded pin on the side window bracket disengages from the window regulator.

Move the side window to the rear and out of the opening in the body -arrow B-.

  1. Tightening specifications, refer to «REAR SIDE WINDOW OVERVIEW»(ref-522406-S20762477382013011400000) .
  2. Adjustment dimensions, gap dimensions, refer to «REAR SIDE WINDOW, ADJUSTMENT AND GAP DIMENSIONS»(ref-522406-S25362313732013011400000) .

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following

Install the side window mount. Refer to SIDE WINDOW MOUNT .

Adjust the side window. Refer to REAR SIDE WINDOW, ADJUSTING .

Remove the window regulator. Refer to WINDOW REGULATOR .

Remove side window. Refer to REAR SIDE WINDOW .

Remove the nuts -arrows- and remove the stops -1- and -2-.

  1. Tightening specifications, refer to «REAR SIDE WINDOW OVERVIEW»(ref-522406-S20762477382013011400000) .

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following

Install the side window. Refer to REAR SIDE WINDOW .

Install the window regulator. Refer to WINDOW REGULATOR .
