  1. Remove front seat. See «FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING»(ref-196888-S26524613772005101000000).
  2. Electrical wiring -2- and -3- removed from connector -4-. see scheme 18
  3. Disconnect connectors -1-.
  4. Pull out connecting wire -5- with VAS1978 from connector housing -6-.
  5. Remove wiring from seat frame.
  6. Remove bolt -6-. see scheme 19
  7. Tightening torque: 20 Nm (15 ft.lb.)
  8. Slide guide rail slightly to back (arrow).
  9. Unhook guide rail from below.

  2. Electrical wiring -2- and -3- removed from connector -4-. see scheme 21
  3. Disconnect connectors -1-.
  4. Pull out connecting wire -5- with VAS1978 from connector housing -6-.
  5. Remove wiring from seat frame.
  6. Remove screws -1- and -2- left and right.
  7. Remove console for control module. See «CONTROL MODULE FOR SEAT ADJUSTMENT WITH MEMORY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING»(ref-196888-S13695613152005101000000).
