Wiring in door trim, routing

The following list pertains to see scheme 13.

1. Wiring to locking knob guide with light for anti-theft alarm.
2. Wiring to central locking switch (driver's side only).
3. Wiring to treble loudspeaker.
4. Wiring to bass loudspeaker.
5. Wiring to door warning lights.

Disconnecting engine compartment wiring harness

1. Remove engine control module

See appropriate Multiport Fuel Injection article.

1. Detach connectors -1- (4x) for connecting engine compartment wiring harness to instrument panel wiring harness.

Detaching wiring harness at steering column

1. Unclip wiring harness going to steering column switch at retainers -1- (2x)
2. Cut through cable tie -2-.

Detaching passenger-side wiring harness

1. Unfasten cable ties -1- (3x).

Detaching wiring-harness compartment

1. Pull compartment -1- for fuse-carrier wiring harness out of tongue -2-.

Scheme 3

1. Pull out central tube until screws -1- (2x) can be unfastened. see scheme 96
2. Remove screws -1- (2x).
3. Detach remainder of wiring harness from central tube.
4. Remove central tube from vehicle.

Wiring on back of molded headliner (sedan), routing

The following list pertains to see scheme 100.

1. Back of molded headliner Molded headliner removed (lowered onto seats). Disconnect connector -4-. Disconnect connectors -5-. Disconnect connector -6-. Detach adhesive tape -8-. Unclip wiring ducts -3-. Guide out wiring harness -2- through wiring guide -7-. When installing, secure wiring for sun visors with adhesive tape -8-.
