Transmission Control Module (TCM), coding

The Transmission Control Module (TCM) can be coded.

Note. Coding can only be performed with the ignition ON and with the selector lever in position "P" or "N." The accelerator pedal must be in the idle position. The vehicle must be stationary and the engine must not be started.

  1. Connect VAS 5051 Vehicle Diagnosis, Measurement and Information System. See «VAS 5051 VEHICLE DIAGNOSIS, MEASUREMENT AND INFORMATION SYSTEM, CONNECTING AND SELECTING FUNCTIONS»(/audi/a6/c5-2001-2004/remont/automatic-trans/#on-board-diagnostic-obd-continuously-variable-transmission-cvt-01j) and select vehicle system "02 Transmission Electronics". Ignition must be switched on.
