Fog lights, checking aim and adjusting

Checking and adjusting requirements. See HEADLIGHTS, AIMING USING HELLA UNIVERSAL BEAMSETTER IV .

1. Switch ignition on.
2. Switch fog lamps on.

1. Vehicle must stand at distance x = 10 m (32.8 ft), on flat surface, in front of vertical wall Y

For correct foglight adjustment, the light must project on the vertical wall -Y- as follows

b - Height of optical axis (focal point) of fog lamp

a - Adjustment dimension = 200 mm (7.87in.) below center point -b

1. Remove cover in lower part of bumper by pulling out toward front (arrow).
2. To lower light beam, turn adjustment screw (arrow) to left (lateral adjustment is not possible).

Note. The illustration shows the right fog lamp. The left fog lamp is the mirror-image of the right one.
