Center Differential & Final Drives
Check fluid level at 15,000 mile intervals. Fluid is filled for life. No changing is required.
CHECKING FLUID LEVELS
Note. ATF level is affected by ATF temperature. Checking ATF level at too low a temperature leads to overfilling. Checking ATF level at too high a temperature leads to under filling. Overfilling or under filling transaxle can lead to transaxle malfunction. ATF temperature can be read with Vehicle Diagnostic, Test and Information System or at display of VAG (1551) Scan Tool.
Note. VAS Scan Tool (5051) is required to check ATF level. Scan tool is used to measure ATF temperature. Follow aftermarket scan tool manufacturer instructions (if applicable) to check ATF temperature.
