Test requirements

  1. There must be no malfunctions stored in the DTC memory. --> «Diagnostic Mode 3: Interrogating DTC memory»(/audi/a6/6-2004-2008/remont/cooling-fan/#42l-v8-5v-generic-scan-tool-engine-codes-bnk__diagnostic-mode-3-interrogating-dtc-memory) .
  2. Coolant temperature must be 80 to 110° C.

Procedure

  1. Connect diagnostic tester. --> «Diagnostic tester, connecting»(/audi/a6/6-2004-2008/remont/cooling-fan/#42l-v8-5v-generic-scan-tool-engine-codes-bnk) .
  2. Start engine and let run at idle.
  3. In diagnostic function "address word 33 - OBD" , select "Diagnostic mode 1: Obtain data". --> «Diagnostic Mode 1: Obtain data»(/audi/a6/6-2004-2008/remont/cooling-fan/#42l-v8-5v-generic-scan-tool-engine-codes-bnk__diagnostic-mode-1-obtain-data) .
  4. Select measured value "PID 01".
  1. Observe right 8-digit number block.

If all of the diagnostics have run through successfully, the following 8-digit number block must appear
