1. 80-200 Pry bar

Outside rear view mirror, assembly overview

The following list pertains to Fig.2 .

1. Mirror glass Use special tool 80-200 (pry bar) to unclip mirror glass. Protect top and bottom of mirror housing from damage with fabric-backed adhesive tape. Pry off mirror glass at the bottom first, then at the top. To install, enter mirror glass into guide stud and friction finger into friction spring, and press on. Always use protective gloves, and only exert pressure at center of glass.

5. Mirror housing Can be removed from door without disassembling entire rear-view mirror, see «OUTSIDE REAR VIEW MIRROR HOUSING, ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW»(/audi/a4/b6-2000-2006/remont/mirrors/#exterior-equipment-cabriolet__outside-rear-view-mirror-housing-assembly)
6. Connector Clip into the mirror glass on the reverse side.

Outside rear view mirror, removing and installing

The following list pertains to Fig.3 .

1. Front door
2. Combi bolt 8 Nm
3. Outside rear view mirror Remove door trim before disassembling. Pull off door seal in area of threaded connection. Unscrew bolts -1- and -4- and lift off outside rear view mirror upward.
4. Combi bolt 8 Nm

Mirror glass, installing

1. Position the mirror glass -3- with catches in direction of arrow onto the base carrier -2-.
2. Slide the friction finger into the friction spring -arrow- of the housing -1- in the process.
3. Always use protective gloves, and only exert pressure at center of glass.

Mirror adjustment motor, removing and installing

1. Mirror glass removed.
2. Unscrew the screws -arrows- from the mirror adjuster unit.
3. Remove the motor -2- from the mirror adjuster unit and detach the connector.
4. Tighten bolts to 1 Nm upon installation.

Outside rear view mirror housing, assembly overview

The following list pertains to Fig.6 .

1. Outside rear view mirror housing Removing: Unscrew the bolts -4- from the cover trim -3- and remove it downward. Detach the housing from the mirror adjustment unit catches and remove it upward. Installing: Place the mirror housing onto the mirror adjustment unit from above -2-. The catches -arrows- must engage in the mirror adjustment unit upper and lower parts in the process, see «INSTALLING LOWER MIRROR CATCH»(/audi/a4/b6-2000-2006/remont/mirrors/#exterior-equipment-cabriolet__installing-lower-mirror-catch) . Mirror adjuster unit Lower cover Combi bolts 1 Nm

Installing Lower Mirror Catch

1. Upon installation, the catch -arrow A- of the mirror adjuster unit -2- must engage into the catches of the mirror housing -1- in direction of the arrow.

Front wheel housing liner, assembly overview

The following list pertains to Fig.8 .

1. Fenders
2. Bolt 2.3 Nm
3. Front wheel housing liner Remove front wheel before disassembling liner. To disassemble unlock quick release bolts -6-. Unscrew bolts -2-. Disengage wheel housing liner from fender then pull out and downward.
4. Expanding nut
5. Side-member trim
6. Quick release bolt

Rear wheel housing liner, assembly overview

The following list pertains to Fig.9 .

1. Rear wheel housing liner Remove rear wheel before disassembling liner. Unscrew bolts -2-. Remove wheel housing liner downward. Bolt 1.5 Nm Combi bolt Is only used on right of vehicle. Expanding nut
