Cruise Control Input Test
Note. Always make sure that you have the latest HDS software.
- Connect the HDS to the DLC (see step 2 on «GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING INFORMATION»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/testing-diagnostics/#fuel-and-emissions-systems-4-cyl) ).
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
- Make sure the HDS communicates with the vehicle and the ECM/PCM. If it does not communicate, troubleshoot the DLC circuit (see «DLC CIRCUIT TROUBLESHOOTING»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/testing-diagnostics/#pgm-fi-system-4-cyl__dlc-circuit-troubleshooting) ).
- Go to PGM-FI, and check for DTCs (see «GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING INFORMATION»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/testing-diagnostics/#fuel-and-emissions-systems-4-cyl) ).
- Do the following tests while monitoring parameters in the PGM-FI DATA LIST with the HDS.
- If the input tests prove OK, replace the ECM/PCM (see «ECM/PCM REPLACEMENT»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/testing-diagnostics/#pgm-fi-system-4-cyl__ecmpcm-replacement) ).
Note. Intermittent failures are often caused by loose circuit connections. While monitoring cruise control inputs, flex the circuit wires, and note if any of the test results change.

- Remove the driver's airbag (see «REMOVAL»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/airbag/#srs-supplemental-restraint-system-4-cyl__removal) ).
- Remove the steering trim (see «STEERING WHEEL DISASSEMBLY/REASSEMBLY»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/manual-power-steering/#steering-4-cyl) ).
- Remove the select/reset/information switch (A), then remove the cruise control combination switch (B).
- Check for continuity between the terminals in each cruise control combination switch position according to the table: If there is continuity, and it matches the table, but the cruise control combination switch failure occurred on the cruise control input test, check and repair the wire harness on the switch circuit. If there is no continuity in one or more positions, replace the cruise control combination switch.
- Install the cruise control combination switch in the reverse order of removal.
Scheme 10
- Disconnect the clutch pedal position switch 3P connector (A).
- Check for continuity between the terminals according to the table: If the continuity is not as specified, replace the clutch pedal position switch (see «CLUTCH PEDAL POSITION SWITCH TEST»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/cruise-control-systems/#cruise-control-4-cyl) ), and adjust the pedal height (see «CLUTCH PEDAL, CLUTCH PEDAL POSITION SWITCH, AND CLUTCH INTERLOCK SWITCH ADJUSTMENT»(ref-475402-S19490623162012052300000) ). If OK, connect the clutch pedal position switch 3P connector.
