- Remove the dashboard center lower cover (see «DASHBOARD CENTER LOWER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(/acura/rsx/i-2001-2004/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#dashboard) ).
- Disconnect the 2P connector (A) from the socket (B).
- Carefully pry the accessory power socket out from the dashboard.
- Inspect the connector terminals to be sure they are all making good contact. If the terminals are bent, loose or corroded, repair them as necessary, and recheck the system. If the terminals look OK, go to step 5.
- Turn the ignition switch ACC (I), and check for voltage between the No. 1 and No. 2 terminals. There should be battery voltage. If there is no battery voltage, check for: Poor ground (G401). An open in the wire. Blown No. 18 (15 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box.

- Remove the rear console cover (see «CENTER CONSOLE REAR COVER REPLACEMENT»(/acura/rsx/i-2001-2004/remont/gauges-instrument-panels/#consoles__center-console-rear-cover-replacement) ).
- Disconnect the 2P connector (A) from the socket (B).
- Carefully pry the accessory power socket out from the rear console cover.
- Inspect the connector terminals to be sure they are all making good contact. If the terminals are bent, loose or corroded, repair them as necessary, and recheck the system. If the terminals look OK, go to step 5.
- Turn the ignition switch ACC (I), and check for voltage between the No. 1 and No. 2 terminals. There should be battery voltage. If there is no battery voltage, check for: Poor ground (G401, G501). An open in the wire. Blown No. 18 (15 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box. Blown No. 3 (10 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box. Faulty rear accessory power socket relay.
