  1. Separate the lumbar support switch cover (A) from the switch (B) to remove the switch. (Scheme 99): Identifying Lumbar Support Switch Cover And Switch
  2. Disconnect the 5P connector (C) from the switch.
  3. Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the table. (Scheme 100): Terminals Continuity Chart
  4. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.

  1. Remove the front seat (see «FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(/acura/rl/ii-2004-2008/remont/seats/#seats__front-seat-removalinstallation) ).
  2. Disconnect the 2P connector from the lumbar support motor (A). (Scheme 101): Identifying Lumbar Support Motor And 2P Connector
  3. Test each motor by applying battery voltage and body ground to the terminals. (Scheme 102): Terminals Voltage Reference Chart
  4. If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, replace it (see «FRONT SEAT LUMBAR SUPPORT REPLACEMENT»(/acura/rl/ii-2004-2008/remont/seats/#seats__front-seat-lumbar-support-replacement) ).
