Note. Check the vehicle battery condition first (see BATTERY TEST ). Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals. Discs with labels should not be used in the audio unit. They may jam and damage the player mechanism.
- Turn on the audio system.
- Insert a known-good disc or press the EJECT button. Is the DISC indicator (LED) indicated? YES -The audio unit is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections at the audio unit and the audio panel. NO -Substitute a known-good audio unit (see «AUDIO UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(/acura/mdx/ii-2010-2013/remont/entertainment-systems/#audio-system__audio-unit-removalinstallation) ), and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original audio unit (see «AUDIO UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(/acura/mdx/ii-2010-2013/remont/entertainment-systems/#audio-system__audio-unit-removalinstallation) ). If the symptom is still present, substitute a known-good audio panel (see «AUDIO UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(/acura/mdx/ii-2010-2013/remont/entertainment-systems/#audio-system__audio-unit-removalinstallation) ), and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original audio panel (see «AUDIO UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(/acura/mdx/ii-2010-2013/remont/entertainment-systems/#audio-system__audio-unit-removalinstallation) ).
