REMOVING COMPONENTS

Remove
- the battery negative cable. See: «BATTERY, DISCONNECTING»(ref-476746-S00156360512012060500000)
- the soundproofing panel. See: «SOUNDPROOFING PANEL, REPLACING»(ref-476738-S28553660202012060500000) .
Scheme 49
Remove the drivers airbag (SRS). See AIRBAG DRIVER'S SIDE (SRS), REPLACING .
Remove the lock screw from its "parking hole" in the steering wheel and install it in the contact reel.
Scheme 50
Remove the steering wheel screw. Ensure that the front wheels and steering wheel are in the straight ahead position. Remove the steering wheel.
Note. Ensure that the connectors do not catch on the steering wheel during removal.

Remove the 3 screws.
Pull the steering wheel as far out as possible.
Remove the clip mounting between the covers.
Remove the lower steering column cover.
Remove the seal for the clip mounting at the dashboard.
Remove the upper steering column cover.
