OIL PUMP AND OIL PAN OVERVIEW
| CAUTION | If large quantities of metal particles or abraded material are detected during engine repairs, it may mean the crankshaft or rod bearings are damaged. To prevent further damage, the following steps must be carried out after the repair: Carefully clean oil passages Replace the oil cooler Replace the oil filter element |

- Bolt 15 Nm
- Sealing Flange With the seal. Must be located on the alignment sleeves. To remove and install, refer to «SEALING FLANGE, BELT PULLEY SIDE»(ref-480934-S29252467742012061900000) . Install using silicone sealant D 176 404 A2. Do not lubricate or grease the sealing lip on the seal. Wipe off any oil on the crankshaft with a clean cloth before installing.
- Chain Tensioner with Tensioning Rail 15 Nm When installing, pretension the spring and hook it in.
- Oil Dipstick The oil level must not be above the Max. mark! Marks, refer to «ENGINE OIL LEVEL, CHECKING»(ref-481034-S17575427922012061900000) .
- Guide Tube, Upper
- Guide Tube, Lower
- Alignment Sleeves
- O-ring Always replace
- Bolt 15 Nm
- Suction Pipe Clean the screen if it is dirty.
- Windage Tray
- Bolt 15 Nm
- Bolt 15 Nm
- Oil Pan Removing and installing, refer to «OIL PAN»(ref-481034-S37756806092012061900000) . Clean the sealing surface before installing. Install using silicone sealant D 176 404 A2.
- Oil Drain Plug 30 Nm Always replace.
- Bolt 10 Nm
- Oil Level Thermal Sensor -G266- 3-pin connector, black Checking, refer to the vehicle diagnostic tester.
- Seal Always replace.
- Oil Pump With a pressure relief valve, 12 bar. Before installing, check to be sure both alignment sleeves are present (for centering oil pump/cylinder block). Replace if running surfaces and gears are scored.
- Oil Pump Chain Sprocket
- Bracket For the wiring harness for the oil level thermal sensor.
- Bolt 20 Nm + an additional 90° (1/4) turn.
- Chain
- Bolt 25 Nm Install without sealant.
- Oil Spray Jet For piston cooling.
